I think a show with this exact title and premis modulo a few words has aired almost every season for the last while

I've said this before sorta, but the Shangri-La Frontier manga is really good, and it kills me that the WN/LN doesn't have an official adaptation (or even a good fan one)

it's a REALLY long story, and my biggest gripe is that I don't see how the manga (or anime) ever hope to fully adapt it

I think it is a better executed version of what the original SAO tried to be

just slightly below SAO: Progressive, in terms of how detailed the world is

but it's got a much larger and more interesting scope, than just "lol you're stuck in this game world now xD"

it's not the best isekai, but it's probably the best game-world isekai

I like the animation too much to read the manga, but if the anime goes to shit i'll pick it up

Watched up to episode nine of 86, its really good and basically what I wished Aldnoah Zero had been

my only gripe is how they waste manpower and materials on a doomed strategy (which im not sure anyone bothered to explain to them?)

If by them wasting manpower and materials you mean the alba doing the weird warrior class thing, the in universe explanation is that they believe the robots have a time limit that is about to run out, and they want to make sure all the 86 are dead just about at the same time the robot timelimit runs out

materials wise, they also explain that for the most part the stuff they give them is flimsy pieces of crap that gets most people who get into them killed right away

Episode 9 would have been an alright end to the season, followed by 11, then where it actually ended on like 23 or whatever

I meant that they reveal that the Legion have begun to replenish their numbers and extend their lifespan via the "souls" of the enemy dead. If Republic High Command knows about this then their strategy of waiting it out is null and void and so they're just being wasteful with the few 86 they have left. If they dont know about it then why did no one send this crucial information up the chain?

The 86 were fine with the alba being wiped out so they had no incentive to tell them

idk about being fine with it. They have that one speech about fighting for the few good Alba being worth it, and they could just let the Legion through but refuse to since the republich is still their home

Outside of shin's squad, I don't think anyone else knew about the robots not having the time limit thing

In other anime news unrelated to this. The chainsaw man recap movies came out, they did not credit the original series director, and reddit/western anime fans are angry that they changed the tone of the show to be more in line with what the japanese fans wanted

so there has been some alright sperging about that

the japanese IP is catering to to the japanese audience? say it ain't so

I don't get it, also isn't it more common for these people to go to prison for tax evasion?
