how much of a show do I have to watch to say "I've seen that"
My example being Liar Liar
it is a terrible, terrible show, that I watched ~6 episodes of and by the end was just hatewatching it
no but I mean colloquially, I don't bother using MAL
I watch all the E1s, but I wouldn't say I've "seen" every show every season
and I think the 3 episode rule is a retarded redditism
I try every show, or watch? every show seasonally
and idk, I feel like you can intellectually have an opinion on something, even if you just watch an episode
but there's a line between that, and actually having "seen" a show
I’d say like 75% of a show would be you’ve “seen” it
Anything less than that is “seen some of”
And if you’ve only seen one episode, you’ve only seen one episode, no special terminology needed
Then at 75% would you say you’ve “read most of” it?
I think where I'm at is, I consider watching something 100% in its entirety, to be the baseline
but I'm trying to square how I feel about Liar Liar

Given the most anime are only 12 episodes nowadays, I would say seeing half of it is enough to tell whether you like it or not
it's not about whether I like it or not really

Anyway, my conclusion is that I feel I've "watched" Liar Liar, would obviously not say I've completed it, but I don't feel a distinction between that and any other show from that season I actually finished
I think anime autism in regards to the idea of "dropping" a show somehow being its own different thing is also weird
