The thing with this movie is it’s sowing the work of two

Because 8 took us no where 9 had to make up for that fact

The first half felt like it should have been done in the 2nd movie of the tilogy

8 set up some stuff that Abrams threw out

And 7 set up stuff that Johnson threw out

Jar Jar being in this would at least be a meme, which is one more than what we actually have

If you sit down and look at everything that happens in the sequel trilogy

You do not need to watch the original trilogy for it to make sense

Because of this movie.

All of the ot characters are unimportant.

They all die

because the one that was supposed to be died IRL and they killed off the others before this one

Their cause failed because palpatine lived

They never defeated the empire

so you can watch 123 789 and be fine with the story

and Palpatine lived because it was the only thing Abrams could do to try to salvage this because he was a coward who wouldn't invoke Jar Jar

Palpatine also apparently learns nothing.

She won because she had two lightsabers

RLM tried to argue that the Palpatine from the OT was a clone of this one

so it would make sense he's unprepared
