The problem which has failed to be solved, is how to assign value to the content you view online
up to some daily/weekly/monthly value

I liked the initial idea of flattr, when it was launched 10 years ago
wasn't fully fleshed out, didn't catch on
but as someone who will pay people for shit, I feel like Patreon is the worst way for me to go about that
and one-off donations don't really work either
I think once a year
all content creators must fight each other physically in a battle royale fashion to decide their take of the total donation pool
it's going to happen though Pika, and you know it
I would be fine with this
once ad revenue bottoms out
and sponorship deals dry up, or are no longer available to the little guy
All that will be left is to fight over a finite pool of donations from gullible idiots
