So, to be an assault weapon, the gun must have 2 of the following (two different categories)
Detachable magazine
Folding stock
Pistol grip (that front/side grip you might see)
Bayonet mount
Threaded barrel (means you can easily add a silencer)
Grenade launcher
Barrel shroud (a cool skin for the gun barrel)hang on, grenade launcher?
yes, so a decorated barrel, is worth the same as a grenade launcher
(think secondary fire mode in a video game, where you launch a grenade)
okay but who other than actual criminals can just get a grenade launcher for a gun
pretty much, all guns have detachable magazines (other than most revolvers)

so, the best part, is there are exceptions to all of this
the stock one is the funniest
there are stocks on the market, that got an exemption for being targetted at people with disabilities
so everyone buys them, and just uses them as normal stocks
