smash 4 was a port of smash 1 change my mind
what system was it on before
different game
it is a port
smash ultimate is not a remaster of smash 4
It's an "enhanced port" as Nintendo calls them
It's just enhanced to an insane degree
Mariokart 8 deluxe was the same game ported over
ultimate is as much of a port as brawl was a port of melee
Pika, do you not honestly see the difference between those two comparisons
so if something shares any small% of assets it is auto just a port
I consider a port to be something that keeps what a game is intact, smash ultimate is fundamentally different than smash 4
entire singleplayer changed, core game mechanics changed
t o t a l l y a p o r t
I disagree with that term
makes the term port meaningless
Pika, you can't point to a new game mode, as evidence it's not a port
And what mechanics have changed, the air dodge?
And then ruleset changes
Shmash ultimate is not a port
no, it isn't
Air dodge, shielding works differently, can't infinite ledgegrab now
to name a few
