maybe it is because I don't give a shit about multiplayer and only ever care about singleplayer

fe8 is an enitrely different game though, with different story, characters, gameplay changes, even combat changes

I think it wouldn't be fair to call it a roster update, because they did add new modes

smash ultimate has an entirely different story, new characters, has gameplay changes

But those new modes are seperate addons, from the core of the game

that's why "enhanced port" fits the best

but the basepika

is the same
