You have to fight this like a dark souls boss

I almost never blocked during the fight

just ran and dodged

Before you run to him use ako sugar too, could help

out of the three

Let me tell you, it doesn't work when it makes a huge fire arena around you and any sort of knockback or attack at all can push you into it. I also find the shield a waste of spirit emblems in that fight, as well as a way to loose my focus on the fight. It's much easier to run around his legs counter clockwise.

@bio Treat him like you're speedrunning Genchiro. AKA Keep up on him. You HAVE to posture him if yo udont want to spend 4 hours on the fight.

Phase three is VERY easy though.

Genichiro is easy

Isshin isnt

Isshin is fast genichiro

Phase 3 is SUPER easy

And his charge wind slash

Not the slash but the sweep

His thrusts aren’t telegraphed at all like genichiro, genichiro only does the thrust after a slam, which both can decimate his posture
