the only part of xcom i like is the gameplay itself and i can find that in other games where the team members aren't just inserts

But I honestly think it lacks any real creative lore/story

yes the world is literally just a standard post-apocalyptic setting but xcom isn't exactly a unique world either

Phoenix Point is probably going to be pretty good aside from the whole Epic exclusivity
