man there's some weird shit with the pop growth rate and migration
"When choosing a Species to grow, planets will generally prioritize Species that are under-represented on the planet and have Citizenship equal to that of the already existing Species."
Disgusting
having multiple species/migration sources speeds up the growth speed through migration but has a whole set of other issues
also there isn't any overflow for pop growth

because the current state of the game, it really seems like you either go full open, migration treaty with everyone, or mono species
mono seems like it's really difficult
you really need to stack growth buffs and/or just go xenophobe
