It's just such a mess

Conquest, and Fates in general just are problem filled. From the start of development it was bad, two groups were formed, those who wanted "fan service galore" and those who didn't this hurt the game already by ideas being split. Then there's the author I mentioned before, who probably just wanted to "impress his daughter". The story is bad. It's convoluted, it doesn't flow, there's an egregious amount of plot holes, it's just bad. It doesn't stop there though, it didn't help how the localization fucked everything, swimsuits gone, petting gone, ENTIRE CONVERSATIONS REMOVED. Then comes the children. They don't need to exist other than just being there for no reason. The kids grow up in a fucking hyperbolic time chamber? Come on. It also ties in Awakening characters for NO REASON. Like they can't even come up with enough original characters on their own, some of the fucking kids are straight awakening rip-offs too.

FE gameplay is two parts though, maps and the combat system itself

There were some standouts, but most of them weren't great, and you played each map multiple times

triangle includes bows and daggers now

because it ruins how the formula has always worked, and it makes no sense for some of the weapons

and the swords/lance/axe intermingle with the bows/tomes
