there's a salvage point there
yeah just up your dev level and just buy as much golds as you can
trades give you way more money than selling treasures individually
It's nice to have it when you need it
plus for buying deeds

and yes bopit, except for uraya, trades are specific to what you get from the titan you're on
If you don't know about deeds, there's a sidequest in gormott that tells you how to get them
