accounting for most likely more round numbers nintendo would use and timing errors
so that could be a 12.5 sec shield instead of base 8

If it does not up the shields health, that is not worth it imo
if your shields lasts 12.5 seconds, you are not using it properly and are not in combat

I think a 10 second shield is optimal, it would give you just enough extra time to make some plays
without being overkill
