Pokemon main series is probably the worst
1. Pokemon
since it was a main series
2. Ice Climbers

I still want my breath of the wild style ice climbers reboot
Pokemon never really changed though
the games have gotten less good consistently every game since black 2
they stopped trying to make a good game when Ohmori got a high position
excluding remakes
including remakes
I liked oras
I liked the stupid freeflying mechanic
I thought it was a cute idea
i'm done with pokemon, after S/S, there's almost nothing they can do to get me to play another mainline game
I still have yet to play that lol

3D models were the worst decision Pokemon ever made for the mainline games
they'd have to blow up the franchise and formulas for me to care
Even a Black/White 3
wouldn't interest me at this point
I can live with the models (although sprites are obviously better)
but the gameplay and formula has been so fucked
and the story is less good

pika the games suck because no one at Game Freak knows how to do 3D games
The in game and story have never been stellar
so the transition ruined everything
I don't need a story, at all
I like a story, but I would agree that no story > bad story
I just can't care about the railroad "catch-em-all" gameplay

it's not even the difficulty, I didn't think S/S was that bad (from what I remember)
I just think I'm done with the mainline games

They have a huge captive audience, who will buy their shit

Why do people have a hard-on for snap
because snap was a charming concept
and they did it well for the most part
I don't even think it was the greatest game
but it's enough of a concept to make a $30 game out of
with gyro controlls
snap would be cool
scope it better, make it fun, and it'll be a cult favorite
a great franchise with amazing potential that is already the highest grossing IP in the world, but its held back by a terrible studio and an overly cautious highest stake holder
