And that's why the first year of college is seen as useless I would assume

I think it is silly that math majors should have to take any non program courses at all
do they not give you any flexibility on your general courses?
at uni we got a LOT of freedom
Sorry, my math major would want me to take like 2 credits of a history
my program has not done that. Only non math/physics elective I took was a philosophy course on arguementation and formal logic
not necessarily american
and I did not need to take that
my program lets me take whatever the fuck I want
But the general student would be like "hey i already know american history, so that'll be an easy A!"
WE got a list of 100+ courses broken into categories
yeah
I haven't actually picked courses for my uni so maybe it'll be like that, for the local community college they say specific requirements for an AA in certain programs
While I'm generally in favour of people taking out-of-major classes in general
not if you're forced to take shit you don't want to take
And I'm grabbing the AA through the local college since that's where my dual enrollment classes is, and then goin to univ for my bachelors
Whats an AA
2 year degree
2-year-degree
why do you need that?
they used to be for women
when colleges started offereing programs that could be completed in 2 years
also
women shouldn’t go to college
I agree
it's a lower bachelor's degree
fuck taking shit you dont care about
So for most universities and stuff outside of state, they might not take dual enrollment or AP credits
I'm so glad
that like
but if you have an associates degree they had to recognize it
half of my "persepctives" were covered by ap
I wouldnt even say most universities outside of state,
just like private schools and stuff like that
err, higher end ones
I think people benefit from some of those classes Bopit, but not when they go super SJW
and you have to take a gender studies
or an quality class
or something completely worthless
I can see benifit in some writting classes, several logic and philosphy ones
why do people major in gender studies
but I don't think college are the devil for pushing people into ^^
gender studies is less useful than philosophy
if i actually pass hs i’m going for history which is pretty useless
Bio the non meme awnser is some people go to university just to get a degree
without actually wanting to do anything
sounds like free debt
it is
a degree that wont even guarantee a job, and was a waste of 4 years if you dont do anything with it
I am all for going to school for the sake of learning
job or not
but going for the sake of going
is retarded
what's funny Pika
is that the pople who go just to go
wait back to pika failing music
are also the ones who skip classes irresponsibbly
I'm sorry that you had a class like that
That's okay I needed an elective, but its not like it mattered
i’m just going to college to go
Huh
I just more mean I'm sorry that you didnt have the fun of a good music class
For mine you dont have to play an instrument but its a lot cooler if you dont
most HS students take a free slot in 4th year but there were too many math and science courses for me to even consider that
Music theory is just so cool
so I had more than enough credits to pass
Oh I loved my HS music
I did 3 years of violin
oh good
Would have done 4 but again
too much math/science
yeah man, between jazz and music theory i've really loved my highschool music program
I'd pay to see Pikachu playing sports in HS gym
Technically I think my school is labelled as a visual and performing arts school
3 grade 12 maths, 4 grade 12 sciences. I did not end up doing earth and space science
idk I don't think I got anything out of my perspectives
I did gym in grade 9
then never again
we had it 9-10
because I had to have 1 gym credit
The sad part is that we still got better pass rates than the other public highschool
