I think: It wont necessarily be horrible It wont be "great" though It will probably have some humor, and its jokes will make or break it to be honest It will for sure be interesting enough to watch it wont be the asscreed movie

I categorize kids movies the same as normal movies

because kids movies can be good too

Kids movies are more focused on keeping your attention and telling/doing jokes/gags. While I wouldn't "rate" them differently, I hold them to a lower standard when it comes to story, plot and basically everything else

I see no reason to do that. A good kids movie can do those right and still be for kids

because, it doesnt NEED to do that

So, look at the inverse Pika "adult" movies, that are made specifically for adults they gate themselves off from being enjoyed by all ages, by inserting content only a certain age/demographic will enjoy

While that is true, it does not change the fact that any movie can be well written and not just a heap of absolute trash, regardless of who it is written for

I think a lot of kids movies lack the connecting bits, between story points

it doesn't make sense that the animators deliberately didn't use an existing model from the games and tweak it

Kids don't need all of that, because the jokes, gags, action and cool stuff is more important

I think that's why they started using the term "family movie"

then explaining/showing why sonic is there

rather than kids movie

I am not saying kids will not enjoy this, I just see zero reason to make a product that is bad when you could do things to make it less bad
