Everyone says it's a bridge game But why bank on nostalgia if you're gunning for new Pokemon players

I actually think this is aimed more at older fans that got back into Pokemon through Pokemon Go

I almost feel like they're trying to see what they can get away with, if old fans will be baited along by nostalgia for this "Pokemon" game

According to everything I've seen, this is a core game, not a spin off

It's three things

Pandering to gen one kids. Pandering to Pokemon Go people. and, maybe those adults who now have kids and want them to experience the joy of Pokemon.

When I see Let's Go, from the catching, and how it looks mostly, it looks like it's really "For Kids"

I feel like they're going to lose the first one though, I have trouble believing people who grew up with Pokemon want to play this

Go is huge though, and I'm sure this will do well

funny thing is, I never plays US/UM

Sun and moon were horrible for me

The hand holding was horrid

I enjoyed the originals, but I never played Ultra

I was going back and forth on getting this (just like Fallout 76) even if it wasn't what I wanted, maybe I'm a consumer whore enough to buy both Ended up buying neither though

I couldn't go on a route for about 5 seconds without the worst rival ever coming up to me and telling me where to go or saying hi

I loved the Totems

When I play pokemon it should be my adventure, it always has been. Your rival may help, but it's mostly your adventure.

but in Sun and Moon

every 3 seconds someone shows up to tell you something or do something

Most of the time, It's only for the first hour or so you get hand-held in Moon though, it's the entire game

I'm fine with slow starts, every RPG under the moon usually has one

I actually didnt notice it too much

I just hope gen8 is good, and gen4 remake is cool

If you think back, Gen 1 got a remake in gen 3, so it was due a remake before gen 4

This isn't a remake, it's a side game

they can't just remake constantly

they're not just going to make a HGSS remake

It's supposed to be a remake of yellow, with some changes

But Nintendo seems content to keep it separate from the normal series

Core is the type of gameplay

normally a new generation = a new engine

It's a pokemon game, not rumble, Mystery Dungeon, Conquest, Ranger, etc It's "core" Pokemon

It's just not part of the main series

they could make it look soooooo much better on the switch
