what happens when you run your Windows troubleshooter?

(right-click on the network icon in your taskbar, and select troubleshoot)

It says use the switch on the front or side of the computer, or function keys if avaiable, to enable wireless capability on this computer

1. disable and re-enable internet devices 2. disable, restart and then re-enable 3. download update, disable, re-enable 4. "uninstall" it in device manager (it won't actually uninstall, or it shouldn't), then restart PC

To get the update, you'll need another PC or maybe a phone? That you can download the updated driver from, then transfer it to your PC, then install

A factory reset? Or maybe try making a linux live USB and see if internet works there

so we can see if it's a windows issue.

then boot into linux from the USB

OK, there is a literal hardware switch on the side of your computer, is what Window's is telling oyu

And it's thinking you have it switched to off

Max, I don't think that'll solve everything, but that's what that troubleshooting message means
