yeah
professional vs non professional
I see the difference now
guess I was just ignoring the fact that someone might want to stream their life for x reason
I mean, I don't really get either kind tbh
I'd have to be pretty vain to want to do either
same here lol
And I'm not really sure what kind of person really likes either in an extreme sense
I know a lot of people here watch Twitch streams (myself included)
But I don't get how some people spend their entire day on the site, and would consider themselves a part of the autistic "communities" there
I guess part of what twitch does is let entertaining people make a living by playing video games
gives them an option to literally do whatever the fuck they want to an extent
I guess that freedom would be nice
See, I have to wonder what kind of person want the life of a streamer, especially now though
It feels like it consumes your life
yeah
I mean
Even though the hours aren't too bad, it feels like you have to be "on" all the fucking time
I could point to an example of someone who maintains a life outside of streaming
then again
most people seem to have lives outside of twitch
then again
the popluar ones are streaming constantly arn't they?
and by popular I mean really popular ones
There are a lot of points that I think must be hard for Twitch streamers
Even if they don't acknowledge it as being hard
you know I'm kinda curious how much they fake shit for popularity
I think relying on begging people for money to sustain yourself is terrible, I get why they do it, and that they have to
But no matter how conceited you are, I'm sure at times it makes them quite self-conscious
a lot of them make jokes about it
That's just it though
They can joke
And pretend all they want
yeah I get that spook
yeah
For the top 0.1% the money is amazing
it probably wears them down
For the top 1% it's as good as a normal job
And for the rest they're scraping by, or earning far less for their time
is that so?
Even if you want to be generous
And say the top 5-10%
Are doing good
6 figure range
(It's not that high of a percentage, but whatever)
idk I feel like the general body of twitch streamers probsbly has a patreon to make money
and most of them probably do youtube too
youtube is dead
Let's write off all the nobodys
good point leg
you get no money from it
Let's just focus on the medium-large full-time streamers
What do you think they make Bopit
does pewdiepie have a patreon yet?
I have no fucking clue
PewDiePie makes millions Bopit
huh
yeah I just don't know this kind of thing
Really? He lost all his sponsorships, didn't he?
he still gets some
pewdiepie makes money off merchandise
he just lost some of them
also merchandise
yeah but how much can he make off merch
enough
I doubt it still reaches the millions marker though
The thing about YouTube, is that a channel's views are like an iceberg
The majority of watched videos are old ones
So PewDiePie get's 2-3 Billion video views a year
that is the main reason DSP did not die of starvation
Pika, did you not hear
he had so many fucking videos earning him passive cash
pewdiepie still gets 1M+ on most of his videos in a day
DSP lost all his ads
I heard
he is fucked
so I feel like this is a retarded question
it is
ask away
