While the threat of nuclear annihilation is somewhat scary, getting drafted isn't that big of a deal. In the U.S. military at least, there are dozens of 8/9-5 jobs that don't involve being shot at. Just don't be retarded and score decently on your aptitude tests, then sit in an office while the infantry go die.

Joining the military in the U.S. is also a way to get free health care and education because this country is retarded.
