Fox News
Having no net neutrality would have been a reasonable arguement when the internet started before the tech giants took over
its too late now
.com
They'd get obliterated
Everyone would no longer buy their service
there is no competitaion, and there never will be unless the internet is destroyed and rebuilt
That's how the free market works
monopolies destroyed the chance of non regulated internet i guess
Let's say the government throttles all internet to foxnews.com
No one can do a damn thing
Most governments want to be reelected though
Corporations do what they can to be profitable and employ people
thats the thing
most places have access to only one service provider for cable
The government does what it does
So do corperations
to increase the power of the people in charge of it
do you honestly think corperations will not fuck over just as many people to squeeze out every penny they can
If they try to do that
a pure Free Market system would be terrable
Another company will raise prices to get more business
It's pretty basic actually
Net neutrality
theere has to be some regulations
So with your logic a new video streaming website is gonna come along and axe off youtube for being shit
REduces the number of ISP's
Oh wait
And available companies
That works when we do not have what, 10 companies who control everything now?
or is it less
they keep merging
I think a good relevant example
Is Obamacare
It has a very similar sentiment
The amount of health insurance providers available now
And trump is looking to deal with obamacare
is WAY lower than before
obamacare was torpedo'd before it was born
Which actually benefits insurance companies
Because they can then price gouge
He was probably elected in part because people were dissatisfied
When you encourage competition
I mean, there is the problem that obama was a fucking corperatist
The invisible hand of the economy works well
Obama is a socialist
That's the problem
he, clinton, et al are corperatists
and was called what it is by the people to torpedo'd it to ruin obamas image
They run on a very
Anti-rich
Anti business
message
run and act
Which is a socialist message
are different
government redistribution of wealth
And assuming control of the means of production
Through major tariffs, taxes, etc
Socialism to some degree is good
not to a major degree
but complete free market does not work long term
I think it's important to recognize
The legitimate role of government
Also
Complete free market has never been tried
And no one actually wants it to be
And never will
because it will fail
Yes
But at the same time
A large degree of it
Is absolutely necessary
Oh, do not get me wrong. I agree, capitalism is the best system we have made so far
True communism has never been tried Kappa
A 100% pure free market will end up being one mega corp monopoly on everything
