so how do you derive the y if you are deriving with repect to x tho

walfram is wrong sometimes
but the equation works
I don't rememeber that
tested it in desmos with several points
so now i need to know the derivative of that
those are not sllopes of the tangent line btw
which now looking at it should be 2
nice adblock remove covering the steps pika
pika implicit differentiation means that y is implicitly a function of x
so the real question is x^2 - x*y(x) - y(x)^2 = 9
yes thats the real question
like i said i forgot the = 9
the 9 has nothing to do with why your question made no sense
y being a function of x completely changes the question
regardless
all i need
alright
is the double derivative of x^2-xy+y^2=9
I remebered how to do this
double derivative is 2 if y is independent of x
the single derivative is (2x-y)/(x-2y)
dy/dx = (y-2x)/(1+2y)
i can visually see that it is 2
on the graph
or x -2y
you were right all along, y is dependant on x leg
this is differential equations why are you doing this in high school
because they do not actually need to solve it
its ab calc
and yeah
i think
I had to do this too, it is not actually bad
and I never took any advanced shit
its not bad
im just confused as shit on taking the derivative of dy/dx = (y-2x)/(1+2y)
literally product rule, and chain rule, then rearange for dy/dx
do it the same way
replace y with the negative of what you solved for y as
product rule?
quotient rule rather
oh yeah
wait chain rule?
where can i use chain rule
and take derivatives of y as if they were x, then multiply it by dy/dx
i know the chain rule
then sub in dy/dx that you solved for before
yeah i tried that
that is what you are doing when you take a derivative of y and make it dy/dx
and ended up with a mess of shit
should be a mess of shit
give me a sex
hot
Alternatively
do not sub in your solution of dy/dx
just solve dy/dx at the point
then sub in the solution
what is the point?
at the point (0,3) find the rate of change in the slope of the curve with respect to x
so derivative of that second equation
at 0,3
I mean
I got -95/7^3
prob did it wrong
Been a while since I have done this
You're doing it wrong Pika, you need to seperate like terms first
How the fuck am I supposed to write math equations in discord, fuck
Seperate into y/(1+2y) and -2x/(1+2y)
I guess that makes much more sense than what I idd
This is fundemental calc shit, not real calc
This is what you'd be taught right after fundemental theorum and the limit proofs
