some masters programs you take courses

Some is just research
phds are all research and maybe some extremely advanced courses
at my school masters courses are 5000 level, phd courses are 7000
and i've only seen 2 in the course listing
my school sticks to 3 digit codes, but the same deal, masters is 500 and 600
