all the class can be without being too complicated is controlling monsters for their turn and capturing them

so we give the beast master 1 companion "fire" "grass" or "water"

and then they can tame more

thats the starting equipment

and they can use basic attacks

or special attcks

based on their "type"

probably have some utiliy abilitys too

like a dmg buff

or shield

heal

that kinda thing

whatever companion monsters have normally plus one

maybe an aoe too

and give the "trainer" x ammount of heal items for their "pokemon"
