I get hung up when people praise a show for being good, if they don't like it
Yeah
same when people praise a game, despite it not being fun

if a show is good I will like it
hell, a show does not even need to be good for me to like it, it just needs to be reasonably okay
if it fails to make me like it, I just cannot fathom the fuckup the show did

"The studio was really confident of every choice they made, and made nearly all the wrong choices"
it's more than that though, the long artsy music sequences, the broken storytelling, the visual clarity/clutter
