I do not mainly watch comedy
the shit I watch is all over the place, because I base what I watch purely off of youtube recommending me random clips
Yeah I like what I like
What can anime do to be good then Max?
is it a problem of visuals, or a problem of the single cour format?
no, you are saying there is some aspect of anime that is less good then manga
I know, but given that you don't watch much season-to-season
and we want to know what that is
it's clear you don't enjoy it like you maybe used to
Anime is s l o w, I don't think music adds as much as it should as most anime use filler soundtracks and when they do use good soundtracks its very very rare. You'll never have great looking stills, or if you do other stuff lacks. You can have a manga that is "all good" but you can't have an anime, unless it's a movie that's all good.
I think there is more that can be fucked up when doing an anime because it has more components
which is why less anime can be considered great whereas manga has less overall components to handle
The slow part is the only thing I'll agree on, but I do think shows have been getting better, I go to 1.1x or 1.2x less often now
that is where I am getting at
if done well, it adds a lot
it just is often not done well
Character driven shows, gain a lot out of being animated. Comedy, SoL, and dramas especially
Everyone get on the Bus
Max is taking us to Mayoiga
How fast do you read max
I imagine the fact that you can get through it faster is a part of why you prefer the medium more
I find there are more series that I like, regardless of medium
than there are times where I'll harp on "the anime is better" or "the novel is better"
Yeah there does seem to be less shows nowadays they give you the complete package with high quality
from the limited selection I have seen from current era versus old era
I actually think a lot of manga is really lazy rn
by volume, most new series I look at have pretty subpar art
the top-tier manga, looks godly
the other part is though, the good manga are what get a lot of the adaptations
Yeah I was just typing that out lol
when it comes to action/drama
If you only consider the bottom shit of manga, we do not really have much to compare directly to anime
comedy/SoL/cgdct you get a more mixed bag
Fire Force, and KnY are both paced poorly
that's their problem
(their animes)
The main thing that manga has over anime as far as I can imagine since I do not read it, would be the fact that manga can have far more detail. Both visually and text wise
that is the only main appeal it would have for me
