I like most of them, but I wouldn't say any really deserve to top the charts
Monogatari is the only one on that list, that deserves to be popular
even if it's a mess at times
at least it's a unique novel
Index, for the sheer fact of its domination in the early part of the decade
probably deserves it too

even SAO can't compare, to that level of market domination
got 4th place in the B6 competition
I think something like 80% of LNs are A6
so I don't even know what it was up against
I like that they have an annual LN for ranking LNs

well, if the ln went the same way the anime did, I assume it just got worse as it went
around vol 8 or 9, by my guess
when it became clear he had already destroyed what he had developed thus far
I think he had 2 or 3 scenes he really wanted to write
the opening in the village, the raid on Nazarack, and Splat
I don't think he put almost any thought into anything else
FFS, he wrote a filler volume 3rd
I'm going to challenge that
I think they're only common when authours have an anime lined up
as that's what they're writing while they support their show
pre-production begins 1-2 years ahead of time
I'm not saying it always lines up
I don't even think the problems in Overlord came from it being too one-sided
authour just clearly stopped caring at some point
or didn't know what to do next
