I was banging my head against the ranked grind on dota 2 with no measurable success until I decided one day to just sit back, relax, and try to inherit some of the knowledge that I could from my games

sometimes it's better to do as you said and just sit back and consume

that's also part of the process

yeah it's okay to take breaks too

bullshitting around the thing you're interested in and making it work the way you specifically want it to work

because that's where the personal fulfillment comes in

what matters is that if you do choose the hard thing then you figure out how you wanna do it
