it doesnt stand out to me at all

and really i only got this in bilewater, i dont know where else this happened Spooky Phijkchu very few of them require you to annoyingly parkour into, and then reverse your steps to get out

that same thing happens plenty of times in HK, where its also kinda lame

plenty of small side rooms and deadends in HK with nothing more than a relic for the relic guy or a geo vein or a charm, most of which you aren't really going to use

which my HK equivalent for that is Deepnest

the only area i thought outright sucked to explore was bilewater

also you get Dash, the parachute thing, and wall climb all in act 1, then in act 2 you get the Silk-spear grapple thow i dont remember the name of, and then double jump. If anything the movement upgrades are front-loaded

not saying i dislike HK though, i like it a lot

i have a more recent experience with Hollow knight, and i did directly compare HK to Silksong fairly well i think, and i did mean it when i said i enjoyed silksong more than HK. Maybe i value exploration more than you guys, but i also did like more fights and the movement in general was more fun.

oh and mantis lords was good

everything else is just ok or bad (ghost fights)

imo for HK, none of the ghost fights were good, rematches are just rematches, and the only really good fights in HK are the hornet fights, dung defender, the Hollow knight, radiance, and the grimm fights

the only interesting boss fights by what i imagine the spooky metric is would be very few

i didn't feel that at all spooky

i never once thought the spacing between bosses was weird, the thought/feeling never crossed my mind

complaints about currencies and some of the quests aside, I do disagree with what spooky said about the bosses

hasn't happened to me yet thankfully

and then you have bethesda reusing the same old patchwork engine for 20+ years

so it's an issue of devs over-using it

even with my joystick drift i never dashed in the wrong direction

i'm gonna be honest leg, i never once experienced any of these input issues you keep talking about. dash is defnitely not rng, though. legorhin the fast that you can be looking right and holding right and inexplicably dash left directly into the boss or spikes

Mint i wouldn't call it propogating when its a mostly closed off server and nobody here interacts with stuff outside of the server in this way, and we all just kind of tolerate each other

i think i'm a lot more moderate than most here mint but i don't think i'd agree with you on a lot of things either
