id do 2033 redux first

its in the library

which makes it a lot better to handle

but 2033 is putting it in the LL engine

LL its mostly just bug fixes iirc

and the hell you go through to reach it

and the game is your story traveling to that goal

you just kind of have a goal

theres a lot less direct story

original 2033 has its quirks but its still good, but they later updated it in the last light engine

theres 3 games 2033, last light and exodus

Theres something very satisfying about wandering around a russian tunnel, hearig the ticking going off, random screams in the distance- or complete silence. wiping blood off of your gasmask, it slowly cracking from combat, stabbing yourself with meds over and over and watching in real time your kit run out

i mean the asthetic is very good

theyre also for people who think thing but russian is cool

with extremely good atmosphere

its FPS story games

idk if you would like it, maybe

would be really really really good

a large city with a bunch of major tunnels, and then like 3 factions warring and the state of the area progresses over your playthrough, with routes being destroyed and more dangerous options being forced

and it worked really well

the first two metro games had some back tracking with the areas changing

with the zone changing

maybe with a lot of backtracking

handhold me like the actual games, but give me a small tight knit sections at a time

it doesnt even need to be super sandboxy

i mean

and that kind of genre is completely dead

a lot of older games used to be like that

i think what i dont want is an open world but a world that is open, but youre heavily handheld/pushed through it

i dont think open the world is the right word for that anyways

but i feel like no matter what it wouldnt be done right

actually taking the idea of some tunnels are damaged, some places need you to use the surface to get around

if done right

this would be an incredible game taxes with interconnecting subway tunnels

that you can actually map out
