I think it's really hard (borderline impossible) to control the internet, so I'm less worried about the slippery slope here but that's the optimist in me, I don't think this needs the best intentions to be broadly good, and I think if anything this will have positive effects one-two rungs out from the massive commercia

Also, I'm obviously opposed to the idea of requiring verification to use a computer (which this is not), but it would be easier rather than verifying site-by-site, to verify once at the OS level or the browser level, and have that signal/flag be provided to sites "yes this user is a non-bot, non-kid"

In general I like the idea of pushing the lower-tier kids off the big internet, and moving them to dedicated apps that are just4kids This does (actually) empower parents to control when their kids are able to use the internet
