I don't read because I don't have the time to on top of the stuff I am already doing
not that I have any issue with reading, and the handful of times I do, I enjoy it
So most of my 'reading' is just academic texts at this point
I like audio, so I tend to prefer to enage with things that have audio
I save books more than I do other forms of media, since I like reading
which counterintuitively means I end up reading less,
but yeah, unless I want to own a book to put on a shelf, I pirate 100% of books I read
Someone will inherit my wall of textbooks

I usually do music, but yeah I've done podcasts too. Either way, I'm not going to really be paying attention or remembering any of it.
I feel like with an audiobook, I'd want to actually follow along, rather than tuning in/out like I would with a podcast/radio/youtube

though I think the entire book series is pretty goofy, yet some people swear by it being some deep philosophical sci-fi
Spooky made us see some choice scenes from the show

Also superficially, I hate those books/show because of the amount of times I have seen people say "Physics can't solve the 3 body problem" when the answer to that is that is has, there just is not a closed form solution
Pretty sure its a trancendental eq involving sine
I think I was thinking of the double pendulum when I said that, but the ODE system for the 3 body problem is not solvable exactly except in specific special cases

I prefer tts over audio books, and a vast majority of my reading is done this way. im ready small text on screens all day at work, so in my leisure i need to give my eyes a rest. audio books are often too slowly paced and pronunciation is inconsistent or hard to understand when sped up. tts on the other hand is extremely consistent

Ive done this a few times with some articles I just didnt care to read/wanted to do something simultaneously. Haven't really found a TTS site i like though.

Hello new person
to clarify, when you stumbled on the wiki, do you know absolutely zero about what phijkchu is, who rob is, etc

you are not the first person to find the wiki for unrelated, pokemon reasons and join out of curiosity
so as a brief crash course, old man wilikers, aka rob, aka rawb, aka pkmnrob was an old school internet person who had his hands in a lot of things. One example is he was a very early adopter of making nuzlock content on twitch/youtube.
Phijkchu as a group started as a group of fans of this person.
Nowadays, Rob kind of lost his mind, did a lot of coke, among other bad things, and none of us particularly like him, and for the most part we just pay attention to him because he is a train wreck of a person. This group itself is moreso just a social group of internet weirdo's who hang out and do stuff/talk about things we are interested in
that is a very barebones crash course in phijkchu/rob
You are welcome to stay and hang out here if you want, although you have to answer the standard vetting question, which today because I have decided is Tiny's job to ask
