due to some somehow ingenuity on their account creation method, they can get from spooky's site to the discord
that sounds like a random name @Lute would come up with
yeah, that's the part I don't get
I think they cannot figure out discord
they can just figure out account creation
The fact that if we ever want to ruin someones discord though, we can use spooky's site to send 100 casinos at them
is a funny military tactic we have
the games server was getting spam accounts that would join and then have a real human try and message the owner to weasle out steam keys

I set a cap of users, and when they hit that cap, the bots/crawlers just go create accounts on Discord
Yeah, its funny
this was also part of Phijkchu Quest marketing
when they can't create an account, the keep looking and the next valid thing they find is a link to the discord
and manage to make an account there
but it's less effective now than it used to be, some of their anti-honeypot measures seemed to prevent a lot of them from pre-fetching or offboarding to Steam
the first time it happened by accident, the PQ steam page shot up into the trending category for the day
and even the number of Discord bot joins is way down
the first time this happened, it was what, like 1 every 10 minutes
first time it happened we legit thought we were under attack
until we figured out what the issue was
it was so many so fast

I have very good memories of the classic pkmnrob blaze black runs. I found the archive, but I also found the guude rant. The situation is, and apparently has been, significantly more malignant than I could have ever imagined. I was in the old discord server for a time but I never had a proper understanding of everything going on. Poor Guude, shit.
