Replying to galah1 #galah1 I didn't realise the consensus was rob was bad for a while now
from the mindcrack era or in general?
Most people here knew he was an asshole for a while, him being a dick to Justin behind the scenes of urealms live was the first major crack a lot of people saw, which came out after he destroyed his career at the end of URL S3

Rob became generally unstable in the 2018/2019 timeframe
but specific to Mindcrack, Rob treated the group differently than most other mindcrackers did
which I think was why everyone had such strong opinions behind the scenes
Because to Rob, he was not "friends" with anyone in the group, it was a semi-professional endeavor and that didn't really mesh with how Guude and a lot of other people treated it
So Rob's way of approaching projects and collabs threw them, where he'd be super personable and friendly, and then 180 and cut people out when there was a minor professional disagreement

unfortunately, this Discord was deleted back in 2020-ish, so all that prior discussion was lost
and the reddits were mostly closed or purged
I think most people who were around for the Buffalo Wizards era really liked it, even if it was mismanaged and died when Urealms became hyper successful

Rob was going through the effort to refund money (which was a weird move imo) prior to imploding around the same time as URealmsLive S4 started

He lost Tom month 1 after the kickstarter, Krysta and him divorced (losing the lead artist he had) about a year into development, he stopped focusing on it much when his other projects started taking off, and when he eventually tried to put more effort into it with Nisovin helping him, he immediately had to bail for some irl stuff

had he not left Twitch and killed his organic momentum, he would have been as big as Critical Roll became

The tragic part of Rob's failure all comes down to timing, he was early to so many big trends and then fumbled by a few key decsions he'd make

Rob *was* insanely talented and put in a lot of work on top of that

Its kind of hard to sell you on it if you were not keeping tabs on Robs streams for the last 4-5 years where he looks really, REALLY bad

Megan confirmed a subset of what I think we knew, and because of everything that happened to her I tend to leave a lot of that out, other than to just say they had a messy breakup

peak early DvZ or arguably his early Twitch streams could be seen as more successful by some metrics
but he made the most money in that early Urealms live era
I mean, statistically most are probably still alive
average age of people back then, extrapolated to now and all
most people in this server are 22-26
with a few outliers on either end
Rob was one of the largest streamers on UStream, then moved to JustinTV, which became TwitchTV
