Yeah, my answer is honestly, he was trying to be deep and high art
and he is really bad at that
The way he did it is more the issue
because it was stupid
Dolf, call them by their real name
Skygyptians
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak because it was stupid
It was tonal whiplash lol. Too mean-spirited to be funny, but too poorly done to work seriously.
My reaction was purely based in response to people in chat crying over it
I liked those campaigns quite a bit, but mostly for the characters in them. Coe's burly adventurer was really funny, and Justin was a great mayor
Iirc my reaction was “eh that makes sense they’re supposed to be dead right?”

Yeah, I loved most of the campaigns (aside from the one I was talking about), but I really think Rob's friends who he decided to burn bridges with made that show more than Rob himself did.
Rob is genuinely a funny guy (or was)
But the cast was what made the show as good as it was
The core 4 were the best, I’d take millbee as a sub if one of them couldn’t
A little off topic, but I have been watching a lot of the DvZ videos recently, and I swear every interaction Rob had with Sugar was terrible
I think all of season 3 was rotton
which makes sense because they divorced
but all of those interactions were so awkward
GPO was good until the end
where he fucked up the epic rolls and strategy to shoehorn what he wanted
Deadlantis was good too
I think my problems with GPO was systematic of Rob changing how the game works to tell his narrative
but it could've been forgiven if it was just that campaign
I am thinking of when I think roamin ice walled in those people, then 20'd blasting in there
and it literally did nothing
not the death rolls
I think thats what happened
Replying to Dolfin #dolfinmaster everyone in here was fine with season 3 until Spiff joined
I remember not being fond of Spiff, but that was also the phase where I was kind of a sexist teenage boy, so that may have influenced my opinion more than anything.
its been years

I still hate her, so you were correct
she was not funny
We are doomed to forever relitigate what went wrong with urealms live
Replying to Dolfin #dolfinmaster or brutal deathrolled bopen in The Purge (hate the purge that was the turning point for me personally)
I remember actually liking that campaign a lot, but that was ages ago so I don't remember it too well.
I am glad justin left and blew up because he started hanging out with northernlion
he is the most successful person to come away from urealms live
well yeah
that was implied

idk how active you were back when Krysta was around
Roamin is probably the most successful irl, he has a family
The first time I found out about Rob was actually in Mindcrack UHC Season 13. I remember the community going crazy for Rob that season. I'm curious how it holds up now.
I have not rewatched almost any of it, but I stand by that old Rob content holds up
but I really think the reason they got divorced was more on Krysta losing interest in the life she had with Rob, not with Rob as a person
we rewatched the first 10 episodes of unforgotten realms a few years back
Its still a good watch. He was pretty funny in that UHC
and it was still very funny
Rob struggles a lot to mantain relationships that are hybrid, i.e. both professional and friendly/romantic/familial
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 but I really think the reason they got divorced was more on Krysta losing interest in the life she had with Rob, not with Rob as a person
Yeah, i dont have a lot of knowledge about that era, but I noticed in every instance where Krysta spoke, she was just shut down, ignored, belittled, dismissed, etc. It was embarrassing
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak We are doomed to forever relitigate what went wrong with urealms live
Always. It’s with the territory of being the most comprehensive account of what happened with Rob
Get medicated if you are not, that helped Rob for a bit
