Common tale, give me a second to write out the famous Pika TL;DR of the collapse of Robs career
Rob cancelled urealms live
- Rob was heavily doing drugs and was making weird choices
- highlight of things we learned from this is Justin quit because Rob was treating him like shit and underpaying him behind the scenes
- A lot of the artists who were associated with him left at this time
- Rob made a new community of people by streaming very unfunny grand theft auto 5 roleplaying, this arc not much worth noting happened and it lasted a while
- Rob because very manic (high use of drugs) and had many mental breakdowns. He tried "rebooting" (not really) multiple of his series such as urealms live, DvZ, LoM, etc
- This arc ends with him having a bad break up with Megan, and being involuntarily committed to a mental hospital by his family for a month
- This killed most of Robs current group he built up during GTA rp who sided with Megan, leaving him with almost no active super fans or friends
- Robs drug use is minimal and he seems to be on medication for a while. Not as many crazy outbursts, still unfunny though.
- Rob's current arc in this era was relaunching DvZ (it is not DvZ, it is DvZ themed roleplay) and Lords of Minecraft (it is grindy and not fun).
- The current place this arc is at, Robs right hand man Dannydip covered up one of Robs friends Roarmin (not Roamin, different guy) having inappropriately messaged a 17 year old. Rob then banned the mod who revealed this for having revealed this. The fallout of this is a lot of Robs current super donors for his streams have left
I went for a bullet point era breakdown this time I have retold it, lots of detail left out. I will vet you to the rest of the server, read some of the pins in #rawb before you leave, those are worth reading

I think it was pretty obvious when Urealms S4 got canceled out of nowhere, Rob was having a bit of a midlife crisis mental breakdown
there are a lot of details as to what was going on, but idk if you're really interested
after that he did low-stress Twitch rp streams for a while, variety of stuff, but was pretty hands off, slowly got more and more erratic as drug use was exacerbating some latent mental illness, and he became more and more unstable, few minor breakdowns which culminated in his family comitting him to a mental ward and him dumping Megan
Since then it's been a slow decline, in general when he's on his meds he's at least stable. Small community that at least gives him people to talk to and they do minecraft rp on stream 1-2 times/month
I think Rob was a very talented, funny person who was ruined by drugs, mental illness, and bad luck
And poor choices

I'd still like for him to leave the internet and try to fix his actual life

We're a mostly non-Rob focused server at this point, in terms of being actively invovled with his community
still mantain the archive and a few of us watch his streams, but it's pr background at this point
They're still around in some of the splinter servers, Mango actually made a second writeup of what's been going on.

I thought it was a good write-up, if Rob was more active and involved with the community, I think people would have continued to cut him more slack
but; even from the perspective of people who still like his current projects, he's been pretty absentee from actually being a "community leader" or w/e term he wants to use now
