Replying to Astigmatism #jackironhide There is one thing I'm looking for, but I think the file is on one of my old phones. But us wiki folk were the ones who made the outlines for Rawb and Deadbones to write scripts for Nader's Unforgotten Tales and whenever they finalized an episode they'd have us review the script and audio. I have somewhere the audio for the unreleased second episode of Nader's based on Porc Hunters, complete with sound effects and everything. I just need to find where that is and maybe someone can do something with the audio. (edited)
We'd love to see that
Depending what you have for the wiki @Astigmatism
It might be helpful
There were a few different ways to archive a mediawiki
If yours preserved some of the formatting elements (fonts, theme files, etc.)
It would be a huge help, I got all the files and text working, but without some basic formatting it's such a mess
Alright yeah, that kind of stuff I don't have I can only point you in the direction of those who might. Pillowkeeper as I mentioned is your best bet, after that I'd say IronClark cause he was the head admin.
I have files, which I'm sure you probably already have
I do also have files for the forums if you need those
Oh, yeah you actually know
I was trying to track down some of the OG crew who made the theme
I had a big scavenger hunt in Rob chat a month or so back
I'm out rn, but this weekend I'll publish the wiki live again, and see if we can knock-out getting it usable
Glad to see someone else thought to back it up too though
It's not that I backed it up, I had no idea that it would ever get taken down. I just never deleted what I worked on.
Wanted to give some details cause going through old docs has made me remembering shit.
We were very limited in what we could do on the wiki, we had a lot of shit we tried to implement but Rob would always refuse to give us access to whatever it was we needed my memory fails me on that.
All the crazy shit we did on the wiki (Character image tabs, the menus on the campaign and character pages and our overhall of the front page) was from Pillowkeeper basically having to "hack" in order to implement anything we wanted to (The guy was an actual genius).
Best bet for getting the theme/formatting would be this line
Nisovin (The only other person besides Rob that had access to whatever the internal shit we didn't have access to)
Pillowkeeper (Here's his twitter https://twitter.com/Pillowkeeper)
Iron Clark (Highly doubt it as even though he was the Admin he was just an artist, the magic really was all Pillowkeeper)
Secondly, as for the lost Nader episode. I found the phone that has the audio file but it bugs out when I start to launch it. I tried to back up the data into an SD card but it keeps giving an error. I'm going to see about bringing it to a professional to get the data and give y'all that file. I do have one request with that though, wherever you guys put it don't forget to credit all the people that worked on it. The driving issue I had with Rob that motivated me to quit working for him when everything came out is him never giving the wiki team credit for the shit we helped with. For The Band of Theives Nader's episode, I was the one that created the outline detailing everything thing that happened in it and I was the one that reviewed the script and audio for any errors but at the end he did not give any credit for the Wiki team. It was something that always rubbed me the wrong way.
Beautiful
Y’all did great with the wiki but rob being a dick about it does not surprise me
That's very interesting to hear. We are always curious about behind the scenes things involving Rob
you should read some of the pins in #rawb, they might be of interest to you
Huh, did not know Rob and Megan broke up
yeah they had a pretty bad break up
What the fuck
Rob got committed to a mental hospital by his family for 2 months
What the fuck
Huh
Well then
We have been watching Rob implode and have mental breakdown after mental breakdown since he cancelled urealms live
It’s been a very slow burning dumpster fire
I mean, we have no idea who fixed that!
But I guess if you want a TLDR on what it was like on the wiki side of things
-We were all volunteers, but we were young, impressionable and looked up to the guy so we'd get stressed and shit
-A lot of the issues are unfulfilled promises. He would promise us art dumps, internal files, etc but then change his mind on a whim
-He would answer a lot of our questions passive aggressively but it always felt playful but whenever we would make any kind of mistake he would come in with quick angry messages. He called me an idiot multiple times but that felt playful and never malicious.
-Very frustrating overall to work with, would come in making requests then change his mind after we did a bunch of work. One example I remember is Mayo making the full recap for Season 1 Episode 3 only to be promptly told afterwards that it wasn't going to be used.
-For a lot of shit we needed we would circumvent him, I would often ask Sixelona for files or have Clark ask Meganzoor for me. Eventually though Rob flipped a gasket and said "Nope everything is copyright now" so Six and Megan were no longer allowed to give us shit.
-And lastly of course he never gave us credit for anything we helped with
lmfao
that is rought
that is such a Rob line though "Nope everything is copyright now"
Very on brand for the Rob that underpaid Justin and forbade the cast from discussing wages
Oh yeah did you hear about that shit
and why Justin left
we have that pinned in rob channel too
Should be among the pins yeah
I was in the chat when Justin posted those messages
Ah okay that makes sense
Since Robs greatest saving grace is no one posts any of this shit publicly, he gets saved on a lot of it
the megan stuff was from her private discord, justin only posted in sixelonas
Yeah, this isn't the first time I (And the other wiki folk) told people shit. Some guy (I forget who) was collecting all the info of people Rob wronged and interviewed us but I have no idea what he did with that info as I never saw it come up anywhere.
that is the first we've heard of that
they've never made their way here
There is a part of me that wants to see the meltdown that comes from someone releasing everything rob has done
shame because we have probably one of the larger collections of information out there
- ☝️ 1
uh, Pika it was probably that Twitter guy
that we never got in contact with
you're right
does Gterra sound familiar
Us wiki guys had a secondary server where we played games together and he asked me to invite him there to interview us.
I was going though reading the talk pages, when I was setting up the wiki mirror
I had no idea how much work ya'll did back then
Rob was more hands-off than I thought too
Yeah, the wiki was all us (Which is why it was especially frustrating that he wouldn't let us better access to it). We were basically his editors, since we had a lot of what was established memorized we would review scripts and lore and what-nots. We also were the guinea pigs for the URealms forums before it opened to the public.
It wasn't that bad, mostly just weird power imbalance cause we were young. Like I said my main issue is the lack of credit.
Except Silver, he was a mod before I got on the team and from what I understand Rob had it out for him and I have no idea what Silver did.
Haha
Maybe not the best choice of words
here you can have my private behind the scenes rob interaction

Get lost due.

Bruh
Hahaha
Rusp is the reason I got that dm btw, I didn't do anything!
What was rob responding to anyway I don’t remember
