the video archive website, was curious if there was anywhere with more info about what happened to urealms because so much stuff got wiped and my memory is super hazy from when it happened

Rob's had a pretty unfortunate couple of years, as much as we talk about how it's all self-inflicted it's still sad to see

He had a pretty severe mental breakdown at the start of Urealms Live S4

caused him to question the whole nature of what he was even doing

he kept a small community going for a couple years after that, but he was clearly having some mental issues, and would lash out at people constantly, drove off most of these fans/friends gradually

Yeah it seems like his career has consisted of ups and downs as he's started things and then abandoned them to die and I don't think he's getting another up again

eventually, his brother Tommy had him committed to a mental institution in Toronto, he stayed for the maximum hold period and was released back July this year

breaking up with Megan, cutting contact with a lot of his friends, and completely 180ing again was all kind of fallout from that

he's gotten some amount of meds to help him deal with anxiety and the like, but I don't think he's getting any sort of treatment to help with root problem stuff

from a career standpoint, yeah he's done

he doesn't really want to continue with his current stuff anymore, he talks a bit about wanting to "produce" streams for other Twitch streamers

but that kind of intersects with his (literal) Twitch harem as a whole, which is a different tangled mess he created in the last couple years

Yeah it seems like he probably needs to just step away from content creation because he cannot really cope with it. I'm going to bed so I'm probably gonna dip from the server but thank you all for giving me some closure on what on earth happened.

At some point, whether because of drugs, mental illness, age, or some combination of everything Rob started to lose the ability to efficiently work on things

I think that really contributed to the issues in later Urealms seasons

Rob would spend 60-80 hours

to produce 5-10 hours of work output

for some reason i was feeling in a "oh man i wanna rewatch the mobster's run again" sort of mood and then the sequence of emotions i felt after seeing pkmnrob has no videos was very bad. i dont really know rawb's other drama and content, only here for team phijkchu vibes. stopped watching him when he started doing the hotdog streams, i think.
