Spooky is a strong proponent to internet archival, and Rob removing all of his videos, then paywalling them is stupid

and Dolf, it was never about spiting Rob, I always loved his old videos and would still help the guy out if he needed it, I think Rob's done a lot of misguided things recently don't get me wrong, but it's more just about having the videos out there for everyone who enjoys them

I remember watching his WoW stuff

oh cool, another old guard

but I didn't rediscover his newer stuff until like 2014/2015

yeah, that was a lot of folks

most folks here are from the Mindcrack and Pokemon stream eras

I only stumbled upon him again when I saw someone streaming under the D&D section on twitch, that must've been the drunk D&D stream

it's been sad to watch him self-destruct

for as much as Rob causes himself issues

it's been a comedy of errors and misteps for years

not all avoidable either

I don't even know what happened, I took a break from watching him around the 2nd season of Urealms, and I come back to see what he is up to and everything is gone and he is posting weird stuff on twitter

he's had 2 very large mental breakdowns since then

He kidnapped a cat

Him and Megan had a big fight over him

when Rob broke up with her

the Urealms stuff went downhill after S2, quality wise but Rob's approach into trying to make it bigger and bigger led to him snapping after S4 started

He also gave up on being funny to tell "meta" stories

lots of behind the scenes stuff came out at that point, about him abusing Justing, treating the cast like shit, and the artists

I was googling around trying to see what happened, and all I could find was one of the artists making a tweet

after that imploded, (with a LOT of drama) he started a very strange internet friend arc

did GTA roleplay on Twitch for a few dozen viewers

Yeah I think I remember seeing the Tilli tv thing

but was grooming a very loyal following the whole time in the background, which he then self-destructed again a few months ago

yeah, it was CrewRP and then Tilli, and a lot of smaller community projects and the like

but anyway, that all went up in flames, he burned the majority of that community down

and now he's been trying to fish up some old fans to whale for him on Twitch

Yeah I tried watching one of the GTA RP vids, but it's not my cup of tea.

the whole Megan divorce and community burning has been pretty depressing, lot of people (including Rob's family) have pretty much cut all ties with him

imo, he's in full grift mode now on Twitch, everything he does is about extracting the maximum amount of money he can out of anyone who he still has any sway over
