Everyone in-office is just fucking around most of the time

My office drama is I almost didn’t get my shift swapped this week despite confirming with my coworker it was cool because my manager who handles the schedule forgot despite me emailing him, talking to him personally, and double checking with him the shift before

He’s constantly talking about how us operators have it easy because we “just sit at a desk” and meanwhile can’t even check his damn email

?? Managers just sit at a desk too

A manager's role is to be a fall guy for the manager above them

To be honest, now that I'm in a real corporate environment, I can understand managers more because some people just do not care to learn anything. They show up, get told to do a task by their manager, and once they finish it, ask to do another. It's pretty baffling that people don't want to learn the system their helping build.

I say this and my best friend is the worst example - he's been working on a radar system for 4 years and he doesn't understand how radar works.

I think there are three levels to that: people who put their head down and actually learn it people who learn enough to parrot talking points to management/stakeholders people who genuinely absorb nothing that's going on
