I always get bothered whenever I hear the American version of Hungry Jack's (Burger King)'s slogan. What kind of king of burgers tells me to "have it your way". You're supposed to be the king of burgers. Divinely annointed by God to your position. You're not supposed to let me have it my way, it is supposed to be your way or the high way. This isn't the Burger Republic. Or did the US Government strip away your powers, (as they did the Hawaiian Monarchy), and now your position is purely ceremonial. If it's even that. I bet he's not even officially a king anymore. Meanwhile, Jack boasts that "The burgers are better at Hungry Jack's", and he's just some hungry bastard. How. How has it befallen the monarchy of Burgerdom, that the ruler of such a thing can't even profess the quality of his meats?!

wifi 6 is increadble wow, its faster than ethernet lol, havent even tuned channel/width yet
you're using a shitty ethernet cable then

i will say (maybe spooky knows the answer why), wifi standards are catching up in speeds to ethernet kinda
Transceiver chips are getting really cheap for better performance is the long and short of it.

the ethernet setup was out the 1gb port on my router on a cat5e cable, to my gigabit switch, out a pretty long cat6 cable, into a usb type c dock, into my laptop. the wifi setup is wifi 6, 5ghz, from like 3 feet away. so not too surprised

How do the closer APSK values work? I've only used QAM, the circle closest to 0,0 looks like it's got to have such high SNR.
Youd only use 128 APSK with a stupid high SNR, so it wouldn't be too much of an issue more generally. But most constellations ive worked with typically have a smaller number of symbols in the center and spread out further from the core
Kribbles vent
Sure, that makes sense. What's the benefit of having those close nodes when you could space it out more at the higher values? Like the node at (-20uV, -10.5uV) has a lot of wiggle room between any others while the ones in the middle don't. Again, I've never done APSK so I don't know the benefit, genuinely asking!

Nah, I mean typically they do have them spaced out better. So im not sure why they opted for this other than it potentially being easier to detect angle and amplitude separately somehow

had a phijkchu dream that some new member posted an image but they edited rusps name into it trying to be like "wow this is a crazy coincidence!"

This is not taught in the course at all
This is how our professors caught us cheating instantly. We would look up the question, find some complicated answer on Chegg, and she asked us to solve the question on the chalkboard in front of the class to watch us fumble and embarrass ourselves.
Kribbles vent
Yeah, it's also important that the professor is actually good and not some idiot grad student who shits out homework questions even he doesn't know how to solve. For those courses, I cheated to hell just to pass.
Kribbles vent
Oh, I'm going on a tangent here but we had a professor who would mark us down if we didn't explain the answer enough and mark us down if we explained the answer too much. I fuckin hated that guy but I learned so much from his class.
Kribbles vent
Yeah, another professor had a "no core dump" rule which was that he would mark us down if we just splurged every bit of info we know about the topic and hoped one of those points was the right thing. That one makes sense.

i want to make a minecraft mod that makes looping (torus) worlds, so I have been looking through the source code. Java really sucks as a language.
