the tilde is not approximation in this case
The = tilde thing means something like "is equivalent to (after transforming)" so it is saying the thing on the left is equivalent to considering the thing on the right
e is euler's number, its vaguely 2.7ish
its like pi
i is the imaginy number, aka, the square root of -1
Just like pi, we can just drop it because we do not care about numerical factors
thats real astrophysics
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak thats real astrophysics
lmao my particle astrophysics class gave us plus or minus 1 order of magnitude for accuracy for full points

Today’s dollar tree bullshit isn’t actually related to the company for once
I got called into work early today because my boss had to leave early because her daughter is being detained by school cops because she was having issues with some other kid and got herself kicked outta the prep-y school she was in
Yeah
I do, the couple extra hours of sleep make a difference
The extra two hours won’t even put me into overtime range I’m pretty sure
I’ll know for sure once I end my shift for the day but I should end up at 39 hours and like 50-something minutes
Vinny, how come you seem to work every holiday
at least it feels like you do
Is it just bad luck or do you volunteer
Bad luck, mostly
Like the first year-ish as a manager I was there to be the closing manager, but after that it’s been mostly bad luck
So I found out my cousin is a legal genius. It turns out he hadn't been violating his Apprehensive Violence Order. Whenever the traps came over to his place to serve him his restraining order he'd flee the state (and then bother us for money for a plane ticket home). So since he was never technically given the order by the police, he was still legally allowed to bother my mum.
Like, when he first fled to Queensland, he told us it for a job. So I was like, it's ok to go there so long as he's paying back his debts (but really it seems like it was just him fleeing the police). The asking for 700$ for a plane-ticket home was the straw that broke the camel's back for my sympathy.

I always get bothered whenever I hear the American version of Hungry Jack's (Burger King)'s slogan.
What kind of king of burgers tells me to "have it your way". You're supposed to be the king of burgers. Divinely annointed by God to your position. You're not supposed to let me have it my way, it is supposed to be your way or the high way.
This isn't the Burger Republic. Or did the US Government strip away your powers, (as they did the Hawaiian Monarchy), and now your position is purely ceremonial. If it's even that. I bet he's not even officially a king anymore.
Meanwhile, Jack boasts that "The burgers are better at Hungry Jack's", and he's just some hungry bastard.
How. How has it befallen the monarchy of Burgerdom, that the ruler of such a thing can't even profess the quality of his meats?!

It's You're the king of your own burger
If there is a burger king, it implies the existence of the burger kingdom
I wonder who the nobility of the burger kingdom are
True, but who pays the burger taxes, and who enforces the burger tax collection

It's called Burgundy. It's why they serve French Fries.
You know, thats fiar

Replying to taxes #tzfi i will say (maybe spooky knows the answer why), wifi standards are catching up in speeds to ethernet kinda
Transceiver chips are getting really cheap for better performance is the long and short of it.
that's a pretty constellation
channel packing or w/e it's called that they've started doing with Wifi6 5GHz also I think helps a lot
whereas the higher frequency 6GHz+ channels are a little meme-y
Replying to Sienna Wolven #siennawolven All hail the 128 APSK
How do the closer APSK values work? I've only used QAM, the circle closest to 0,0 looks like it's got to have such high SNR.

Youd only use 128 APSK with a stupid high SNR, so it wouldn't be too much of an issue more generally. But most constellations ive worked with typically have a smaller number of symbols in the center and spread out further from the core
For instance in the DVB-S2 standard
Sure, that makes sense. What's the benefit of having those close nodes when you could space it out more at the higher values? Like the node at (-20uV, -10.5uV) has a lot of wiggle room between any others while the ones in the middle don't. Again, I've never done APSK so I don't know the benefit, genuinely asking!

Nah, I mean typically they do have them spaced out better. So im not sure why they opted for this other than it potentially being easier to detect angle and amplitude separately somehow

had a phijkchu dream that some new member posted an image but they edited rusps name into it trying to be like "wow this is a crazy coincidence!"
