about half of the spikes that go over 1000 are when rob has a rant day
but not all of them
and the bit in the middle just seems to be a period when the server was super active

note, the post freakout average is dragged up by two days

neither average uses the 15th, since that seems unreasonable
the only main thing of note is, there is only a single day that has a lower post count than any day post freakout
and it is only smaller than the 2 days that broke 100 posts
its larger than the rest of the days

the numbers are days with >1000, >500, >250 posts respectively
so 75 days in the almost 500 I looked at had more than 1000 posts
Some points about the dataset
it is missing mental health chat since that gets cleared
however that should only change the numbers by at most 30 a day
based on what I saw
and on average only like 5-10 in a day
not really meaningful
secondly, Rob has a bot that post spams in the bot channel sometimes, probably inflates post count by 10-50 depending on the day
There were 330407 total posts in this period of time, alice was 18751, mami was 14023, so we cannot completely blame the low post count on those two being gone
