That having been said, it's far from abnormal for this persist into late teens, early 20s, especially these days where people believe their opinions and worldviews hold weight because social media is so prevalent and everyone has access to a soapbox of potentially billions of people on their phone in their pocket 24/7.

Physically, it's around there. Mentally, it never stops "developing," because your mind isn't as simple as the brain, which is already insanely complex.

And having a more developed brain doesn't really do that much to your mind, in comparison; it's the physical matter, chemicals, synapses, etc. that are still developing.

Hence why there are people with views that sound pretty legitimate as to why psychiatry is a pseudoscience; you're trying to treat ailments of the mind by applying chemicals to the brain, when it's not a 1:1 tradeoff.
