He's partially right about "that's not how respect works." You don't just respect someone because someone says to respect them. However, you still have to tolerate other people, regardless of if you like it or not. Either that or go live in a cave or something.

mental diagnosis imo should only be relevant to a doctor, to both yourself and others it should just be 'the way you are' and treated no different from any other traits

hasn't the kicker of some football team been replaced by some rugby guy cause they were just better at kicking even though the dude has literally never played football, or soccer or probably both, probably should happen even more often from the sounds of it

I don't agree 100%, because if someone is severely mentally ill(completely insane) or mentally handicapped(legally retarded, in layman's terms), it may be helpful to know, but once you start using it as an excuse or justification for behaviors or even viewpoints, that goes down the drain.

If I misunderstand something because my brain is processing it differently from most people, then when someone explains how it's meant to me interpreted, it's basically "whoops, tism moment," then I reevaluate and redirect my view to understand properly. It's not just giving a finger to even trying to understand properly like these fuckwads do.

But if someone is severely handicapped, like low-functioning autistic, or mentally ill, like completely delusional, for example, that would definitely be helpful for other people to know.

true, the point I'm trying to make is though, imagine i'm hiring a sharpshooter for my crew whatever reason there is for somebody not being able to follow orders or having shit aim isn't as important as the fact that they ultimately have shit aim and can't follow orders
sudo TPK rawb
Misread that. The reason isn't important for you, but it may be useful for someone else to know so they can get some type of assistance to integrate properly into society and be more functional and useful.

If you're hiring someone as a sniper, a master sharpshooter, but for some reason they don't understand the word "shoot," but say if you say "pussyfart" as a code word to pull the trigger and it works every time, then would it be a compromise worth doing, to make an adjustment from saying "shoot" to "pussyfart" if it meant you had the best sniper around?

yeah but as a captain I'd think of that as "this guy needs me to say pussyfart" not "this guy is mentally ill and thus I need to say pussyfart"
