infact, on campus living is usually more expensive
Depends on where you're going and how it's being paid for. A scholarship to an out-of-state school might completely cover room & board. If you're paying out of pocket to go to a school a 10 minute walk away from your house, yeah you're probably not getting anything subsidized for lodging.

dude I have done more work than rob has in the last few months this month on something that literally only the 6-10 people who watch the award show will appreciate and I am not even getting payed by 301 people a month for it

This is actually possible, the only caveat is that it's only the best campaign ever if all the players share a hivemind and it's designed specifically to cater that hivemind.

Like, if you have a group of four people, that love absolutely nothing about D&D but the idea of playing a half-orc that constantly chucks halflings around, you could run a game for them that that's ALL they do, and for them, it'd be the best campaign ever.
