There are movies I would agree with that mentality on, this is not one of them. This would made by committee with a check-list, it's a billion-dollar brand given a new reboot and it's sequel-bait too
I've not watched the movie, so maybe
I want to watch it to see how bad it is
but the impression I got was that the director kind of went off the rails and did his own thing
