But it's more so because I'm subbed to one thing on Patreon that's linked to a Discord channel, and I have the name in the Discord server and on Patreon as the same thing, and when I change it on Patreon I have to fuck with it for a while on Discord for it to display properly

I don't know what exactly the guys running the thing are using to get the chat to go through from Discord to whatever streaming software is, but last time I changed my Patreon name, my messages weren't appearing in the Discord server until I fucked around for like half an hour to fix it

I did three things: 1) I apologized, first and foremost, 2) I didn't harass anyone; someone actually asked for advice for once, and I provided advice, with absolutely zero hostility 3) I shat on whomever did it because it was after I made a post in the general chat that got deleted for making it private instead of just banning me, which took them like five more days to do

The only reason I've heard of it is because of reading D&D handbooks from the 70s, and Gary Gygax was using anachronistic language even for the 70s in it.

Nah, if I was trying to confuse people, I'd look at Gygaxian lingo, grab the anachronistic words out of it, and find synonyms that are even LESS used, so instead of "betoken," I'd use something like "auspicate."

To the point where even I won't understand what I said 10 minutes after I typed it without looking up the meaning of words.
