for nothing
I don't know why people haven't realized, after centuries upon centuries of people trying to live off of "art," that very few people can do it successfully, hence the term "starving artist," and the VAST majority of those that do become successful(while alive, at least) are either privileged in a specific way(not in an identitarian sense, more like people praise Monet's painting of his view of "nature" when he specifically had gardens arranged by people he paid pittances to look as they did when he painted them until they looked the way he thought was perfect), were part of something much bigger than themselves and didn't even get the biggest piece of the pie(any non-independent musician, any Youtuber/Twitch streamer that makes most of their money off sponsorships and ad revenue, not direct contributions), heavily exploited the labor of others or flat out stole almost verbatim from others, or in very rare cases, just managed to strike it EXTREMELY lucky.
It's this simple: You work. You do something you enjoy separately. If you like what you do that you enjoy, you may choose to share it with others. If others like it and you can capitalize off of it, then you have to keep cranking out what people like to make money off of it, which often leads to you not liking doing it anymore, or keep working separately from doing what you enjoy.
Like, how ironic can you get that the people that declare themselves "Marxists" or "communists" or even "anti-capitalists" or "anarchists" don't fucking understand the labor theory of value, which is heavily associated with Marxian economics, that states objective labor - that being which is socially necessary for a society to not thrive or advance, but even exist - is intrinsically more valuable than subjective labor - that which is not necessary whatsoever for the existence of a society.
personally I believe that any given thing is exactly what it is, and is never in any way anything that it isn't.
Replying to reorruatrnte #toughbrook personally I believe that any given thing is exactly what it is, and is never in any way anything that it isn't.
Was talking about Rob and people like him specifically, who essentially act like or flat out say they should be able to live off of whatever "art" they produce, regardless of what it is, "people > content," yada yada
well it's like they say at the docks, it takes a sail raiser to raise a sail, besides when it doesn't
I don't believe in autism
either way autism would only be important to a doctor or something
what matters is the output, not what causes it
I definitely believe it exists, but it doesn't hinder me from doing anything, at least not to the extent of my diagnosis. I'm socially awkward as fuck, regardless of how much I try to integrate, I have tactile and sensory issues, some shit like that, but nothing that I'd ever use in the way that it could be played as a victim card.
But when you see fully grown adults that can't communicate almost whatsoever, even non-verbally, that don't understand how to use a toilet in their 30s, that pull out their hair and kick holes in the wall for what seems to be no reason, when it's THAT severe, it's either hard to deny the existence of it, or it needs a new name for the diagnosis.
gotta have a little 'tism to get anywhere in 2022
who fucking triggerwarnings their fucking weight loss
TW: I am a fat fuck and I lost 20 pounds last summer
TW: I probably ate a pounds worth of chocolate and turkey yesterday
I still love that they had to pivot away from trigger warning to content warning because they got mad that people kept making fun of them
I wonder how fat they are
said 60 pounds overweight
they they were told to lose 80 POUNDS
80*
I misinterpreted that
holy shit you are right
so spooky, they are not mobile. They have a moterized chair
that should give us an idea
usually a doc will be like "yeah, you could stand to lose 20lbs"
like, even if you went in
I don't think a doctor would tell you to lose 80lbs (even though you could)
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak I still love that they had to pivot away from trigger warning to content warning because they got mad that people kept making fun of them
If I used either, I would post something in Rob's Discord with Trigger Warning(specifically written out, not just TW), and if someone said to use "Content Warning," I'd be like, "That's even more triggering for me, because it makes me think of when people are content > people, which triggers the absolute shakening of my core."
lmao
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 I don't think a doctor would tell you to lose 80lbs (even though you could)
I currently float around 230-240, my max was 286(extremely high dosages of antipsychotics will cause you to balloon up if you drink nothing but water and eat nothing but lettuce); any doctor who actually went to school to the point they got an MD will tell you you need to cut from whatever you're eating to 1200 calories a day when you need to lose EIGHTY POUNDS.
Replying to 🐝🌯🌯🌯💥 #march.7th Also nah 1200 cal/day isnt too harmful, tho I recommended 1400 because your body gets used to being in a starving state after a bit and you end up gaining weight very easily even at low calorie intakes
If you're eating 8k calories a day, and immediately go to 12-1400 calories a day, your body will be in absolute peril for a while. I don't know how much this person is eating, but when someone says "I love to eat and bake" and that they have "been stress eating for two years," it's probably an extremely high amount of calories per day.
>I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT
>I ATE 2 BIG BOWLS OF SOME SHIT

I like how thats not even a response to what you posted
"its dangerous to do this"
"fasting exists"
I saw lol
they want you to have an article off hand
lmfao
medical journals are, go have fun
I like how the mental health channel gets wiped every week
so literally everything you are saying will disappear and no one can look it up later
lol

Isn't this like a few years ago when "misogynoir" was a buzz word(oh god, my spell check even recognizes it as a word, that's fucking awful), and there were black women yelling it everywhere but not explaining anything because it'd be "providing free mental/emotional labor" to those too lazy to "educate themselves"?
