My biggest complaint following everything after den of devils, and dundinborough did this shit as well, it felt like player characters could no longer do anything to affect the story

Maybe that’s in part the nature of urealms, player characters are throwaway while NPCs are recurring, but it saps out my investment when I know it’s all about gwyneth and whatnot

I mean we know the reason why he did it was to get a ton of people in the order so they could post in that one forum

I’d argue they might’ve been less impactful than we were led to believe, since gwyneth ended up doing the exact same thing lance was supposed to be if he won, bopen would probably still be killing and enslaving people if he lost, etc

And lance vs vitali would’ve resulted in the peasants winning either way since bopen would swoop in for the kill regardless
